Telenor, the Indian cellular brand from Uninor, has finally opened its innings in the all vs Jio war with a superb plan. The cellular operator is offering up to 56GB of 4G data, to 4G customers in its circle, at a price of just 47 rupees! This plan will have only data and no unlimited local or STD calls.
The Rs 47 plan from Telenor will have a cap of 2GB per day and all eligible customers will be notified by SMS about their eligibility.
This is not all, another plan from Telenor gives 1GB 4G data per day for just Rs. 11. These new plans come as significant improvements over the current plans credited majorly to Jio’stakeover of the market.
Other operators including Vodafone and Airtel have also rolled out aggressive plans to take back their customer base. Vodafone is offering 28GB of data per month with unlimited calling at Rs. 348, while Airtel is offering the same plan at Rs 345.
On the other hand, Vodafone is giving away up to 24GB of data (8GB per month for 3 months) for all postpaid users, and up to 30GB of data (10GB per month for 3 months) is being offered by Airtel.
All telecom operators have created a wall of similar plans to face Jio’s might. As the Happy New Year offer approaches an end, it would be interesting to see how many manage to break Reliance Jio’s momentum and stop it from becoming the biggest player in the market.
